Thomson Geer continues work for Australia’s largest pizza delivery chain
Thomson Geer has continued its work for Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Limited (DPE).

The firm acted for DPE, which has acquired the minority stake of Bain Capital Domino Hong Kong Limited in Domino’s Pizza Japan (DPJ) for $42m.

The deal comes as Thomson Geer also advised DPE – the world’s largest Domino’s franchisor and Australia’s largest pizza delivery chain – on its acquisition of Hallo Pizza, Germany’s largest independent pizza chain.

The Thomson Geer team on the DPJ deal was led by partner Eugene Fung. He was assisted by partner Robert Gallagher and senior associate Melanie Mitchell.

DPE first entered the Japan in a joint venture with Bain Capital in 2013. With the acquisition of Bain Capital’s minority stake in 2017, a record sales year for the 493 stores of DPJ, DPE now owns 100% of the Japanese business.

“It has been a busy period for the Domino's acquisitions team with the recent acquisition of Hallo Pizza in Germany and now the Bain minority interest in Japan. We are delighted to have supported both transactions,” Fung said.
