30 senior promotions at HWL Ebsworth

HWL Ebsworth has announced the internal promotion of 11 partners, 10 special counsel and nine senior associates.

Promoted to partner are:

  • Brad Swebeck - Workplace Relations & Safety (Sydney)
  • Cassandra Emmett - Commercial and Property (Darwin)
  • Chris Egan - Workplace Relations & Safety (Melbourne)
  • Colin Harris - Construction & Infrastructure (Brisbane)
  • Laura Young - Commercial (Melbourne)
  • Mark Riddington - Construction & Infrastructure (Sydney)
  • Melinda Leacy - Property (Brisbane)
  • Melissa Hanbidge - Litigation & Dispute Resolution (Brisbane)
  • Sarah McJannett - Insurance (Canberra)
  • Tony Scott - Insurance (Brisbane)

Promoted to special counsel are:

  • Alexandra White - Litigation & Dispute Resolution (Sydney)
  • Alinta Bradley - Property (Melbourne)
  • James Fleetwood - Banking & Finance (Brisbane)
  • Kyle Norton - Insurance (Brisbane)
  • Matthew Thickett - Insurance (Perth)
  • Paul Lewis - Commercial (Melbourne)
  • Renee Cansdale - Banking & Finance (Brisbane)
  • Tim Dorgan - Commercial (Melbourne)
  • Timothy Chan - Litigation (Sydney)

The firm also confirmed that nine lawyers have been internally promoted to senior associate. HWL Ebsworth now has 1,040 staff which includes 217 partners, 502 other legal staff and 321 support staff. It has offices in Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Norwest, Perth, and Sydney.
