Thought leader award winners announced

The winners of the Australasian Legal Industry Thought Leadership Awards were announced last night.

Online law firm LegalVision has taken out the ALPMA/ InfoTrack Thought Leadership Award for 2015.

An inbound content marketing campaign has made LegalVision’s website Australia’s most visited legal services website and rapidly growing the firm’s business through online leads.

“The digital era means that the way law firms do business is rapidly changing,” ALPMA vice president Valmai Vickers said.

“LegalVision is a positive example of a firm that is embracing the opportunities this new era brings and reaping the rewards.”  

LegalVision was started by ex-corporate lawyer Lachlan McKnight and software engineer Evan Tait-Styles.  The virtual firm was created to provide high-quality and low cost, fixed price legal services to businesses.

The award panel was comprised of Shelley Dunstone, principal Legal Circles and ALPMA Life Member; Dr Peter Lynch, managing director, dci lycon; Shirley Hamel, principal Hamel Consulting and ALPMA Life Member;  Stephen Wood, chairman, InfoTrack and Brendan Smart, General Manager – Sales, InfoTrack. 

“Congratulations to LegalVision for creating a market disruption that not only changed the way Australian SMBs can access legal support but that has driven strong revenue and market share at the same time,” said InfoTrack chairman Stephen Wood. 

“Often companies think about thought leadership in an almost altruistic way, but at the end of the day an innovation that leads the market and drives business is the real leader.”
