Colin Biggers & Paisley has expanded its team in Brisbane with a transport and government law.
Nicole Franklin has joined the firm as a senior associate in the firm’s transport and logistics team in the Queensland capital. She moved from MinterEllison, where she was part of the dispute resolution team for nearly four years.
Colin Biggers & Paisley said that Franklin is an expert in managing legal responses to high-profile matters in the transport industry, including investigations, environmental clean-ups, statutory responsibilities, liability, and dispute resolution. She also has significant experience in maritime law, including contractual responsibilities, legal liabilities, drafting and advising on complex contractual documents, and litigation.
Having worked with Commonwealth and Queensland government departments and agencies, she also has extensive experience in government administrative law, including the conduct of merits and judicial review proceedings, as well as advising on statutory interpretation, government decision-making, and privacy.
