McCullough Robertson has elected real estate partner Kristan Conlon as its new chair of partners as the firm prepares to celebrate 100 years in the business.

Conlon succeeds outgoing chair Reece Walker, with immediate effect. Her ascent to the position is being accompanied by several new appointments to the firm’s executive leadership team.

“Kristan is a genuine team player and always prioritises the firm’s best interests, respecting its rich history but also looking to the future. She is the epitome of the firm’s values of ‘down to earth’, ‘committed’, ‘commercial’ and ‘generous’, and I am excited to see her lead the firm towards its centenary and beyond,” Walker said.

Conlon is a homegrown star at McCullough Robertson, having started with the firm in 1998 as a graduate. She made partner in 2007, and leads the firm’s real estate team.

She served as senior partner, and has been part of McCullough Robertson’s executive leadership team for many terms. She took on a number of roles involving team and business unit operational leadership at the firm.

Conlon has spearheaded innovation and D&I initiatives, and has an interest in ESG and sustainability. She will be joined on the executive leadership team by digital and tech partner Alex Hutchens (Sydney), corporate partner Aaron Dahl (Brisbane) and tax partner David Hughes (Brisbane), while Damien Clarke and Guy Humble carry on as joint managing partners.

“Having grown up at McCullough Robertson, I am very proud and excited to take on the role of chair of partners, and to continue working with the executive leadership team and partners to further our growth as we head towards our 100th year,” Conlon said.

Walker first took the chair position in 2019 after having been part of the executive leadership since 2016.
