A German company has acquired an Australian maker of building products with the help of a national firm.

Hall & Wilcox advised Sto Group, which is acquiring Unitex. The company makes and distributes architectural products for residential and commercial applications.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Sto Group makes an expansive range products and systems for building coatings. The company, which has an international presence, has an annual turnover of €1.2bn. The acquisition marks its entry into the Australian market.
