Dentons expands Brisbane practice with new appointment

Expanding its corporate practice into Brisbane, Dentons appointed has Esteban Gomez as its new corporate partner.

Gomez brings over 15 years of experience in Australia and major overseas markets, including the United Kingdom and United States, with primary focus on corporate advisory, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets transactions. He also has extensive experience in the technology, online, education, energy and resources, construction, government, retail, banking, hospitality, talent services, and aviation sectors.

Ian Dardis, Dentons’ Australia CEO, said the appointment represents an important step for Dentons’ rapidly expanding corporate practice.  

“Esteban is an important hire for the firm, and in particular for our clients in Brisbane, who can now access corporate advice nationally,” said Dardis. “Esteban’s appointment to the partnership follows other recent significant hires in the corporate, life sciences, and intellectual property and technology teams in line with Dentons’ strategy to grow the Australia region. Esteban’s experience in both Australian and overseas markets will also be a valuable asset to the Firm.”

For his part, Gomez said that Dentons’ position as a global law firm offers excellent opportunities to combine his domestic and international corporate experience for clients both in Australia and overseas.
