Clifford Chance’s M&A veteran in Perth, Tracy Renshaw, has had a busy year so far. The lawyer was the Australian adviser to Royal Shell Plc on its selling of Shell Australia’s downstream businesses (excluding Aviation) to Vitol. The total transaction value was just short of $3bn. The sale covers Shell’s Geelong refinery and 870-site retail business – along with its bulk fuels, bitumen, chemicals and part of its lubricants businesses in Australia.
