In-house Leaders 2019

As a pioneer of transformation for the global L’Oréal legal function, Lozynski has encouraged her team to develop many of the skills research suggests is the ‘future of legal capabilities’, such as process re-engineering, change management, and project and vendor dealings. For example, her team has worked collaboratively to develop an app that allows sales representatives to sign up new salon customers almost instantly (the previous process took weeks and required a lot of manual intervention). Plexus research suggests that only 14% of general counsels are able to measure and communicate the performance of their function. To change that paradigm, Lozynski led the development of a performance measurement system. She and her team can now communicate to the leadership an enormous range of metrics including: activity volumes, performance data, risks, and costs on a range of dashboards. As a woman of many talents, she’s also recently authored an eBook called Legally Innovative, and is a sought-after commentator and speaker both domestically and internationally, working tirelessly to ‘shift the dialogue’ and move the profession forward.
