Adam Lister, Group general counsel, AEG Ogden
In-house Leaders 2019

Although Lister’s greatest achievement in the past year has been the birth of his son, he has attained a great deal of success in his work life too. As the group general counsel at AEG Ogden, he is responsible for overseeing legal operations of the company’s ‘family of venues’ which include numerous indoor arenas, theatres, stadia, and convention and exhibition centres. What’s more, he also supervises sporting teams, sponsorship and venue design divisions with over 20,000 full and part-time employees across eight countries. The last 12 months has seen Lister run negotiations on a number of deals with the most important one resulting in the sale of the AEG Ogden managed Dubai Arena naming rights to Coca-Cola. This deal gained significant worldwide coverage because of its importance to the region as the first international standard arena project, and also because it is the first international standard arena in the world to secure a naming rights deal with Coca-Cola.
