Pragma Lawyers
Australia’s Employer of Choice 2019

Pragma Lawyers employs a business development officer who conducts surveys and regular ‘check ins’ with the staff to assist them in developing ideas and strategies and reaching personal goals. Pragma believes that ongoing feedback with its staff is pivotal to employee engagement. It is a CPD accredited firm and ensures that all of its solicitors obtain the required number of CPD credit points. The firm lets employees choose which events they wish to attend to ensure they are learning in areas that interest them.

The firm believes that individuals benefit and grow when their mind and body is healthy too. Pragma organises regular 12-week challenges to improve overall mental and physical health of its employees, who are also encouraged to participate in boards of various kinds/industries, including not for-profit organisations. For example; director, Aaron McDOnald is the chair of the Subiaco Justice Centre; Sandra Ursino in HR is on the board for Camp Quality.

It is also vital for Pragma to recruit the right people. It has recently developed a cultural eBook which can be downloaded by prospective employees or interested persons. This eBook gives ‘outsiders’ an insight into what working at Pragma is like, its external commitments and the fun it has internally as co-workers.
