Hive Legal Pty Ltd

Hive Legal Pty Ltd
Australia’s Employer of Choice 2019

Hive Legal’s Continuing Education and Training Policy ensures its commitment to the development of all its employees which, it believes, is vital to achieving the firm’s overall objectives. It encourages employees, particularly its junior staff, to host Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions, both internally and externally. Some CPD topics conducted include delegations and authorisation, communication styles, and aligned pricing. Hive Legal also emboldens individuals in its team to identify opportunities for training. For instance, it supported the operations manager in becoming a qualified mental health first-aider and to undertake a masters in legal operations.

Hive Legal hosts strategy days for the entire team to discuss what’s working and what’s not. From a leadership context, it encourages each employee to continue to be involved in promoting change in the profession. The firm is regularly asked by the profession to speak at legal sector forums, CPD events and conferences on these topics. Members of its team are also active committee and steering group members of associations such as the College of Law’s Centre for Legal Innovation, The Chief Innovation Officers Forum and ALPMA.
