US giant’s admin staff gets welcome surprise
A major US law firm has decided to celebrate Administrative Professionals Week in America by giving its support staff more support where it can easily be felt – their paycheques.

In a leaked email, David Greenwald, Fried Frank chair, announced that the firm is kicking off “Staff Appreciation Week” with a one-time bonus since the firm performed so well financially in the most recent fiscal year.

“Today marks the start of Staff Appreciation week, during which we recognize the hard work and critically important contribution of our Firm’s remarkable administrative team. We had a record financial year in FY17, and each member of our staff should feel proud of the role you have played in the Firm’s success,” Greenwald wrote, Above The Law reported.

“As a result of the Firm’s recent successful financial performance, I am pleased to announce that we will be paying a one-time special bonus equal to one week’s salary to our administrative staff,” he added.

The bonus is said to be on top of the firm’s annual discretionary bonus for all employees.
