King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) advised two Charter Hall Group funds snapping up a major office tower in the growing Parramatta CBD in Western Sydney.

The top firm advised Charter Hall's Prime Office Fund and Direct Office Fund in the purchase of the A-grade office tower located at 105 Phillip Street, which was bought for $229m.

Acquired from the Dexus Property Group, the 25,000sqm commercial property comes with a pre-committed 12-year lease with Property NSW. Dexus stays on as developer and property managers for five years after the expected completion in mid-2018.

Partner Stuart Dixon-Smith and senior associate Jessica Wallis led the KWM team. They were supported by solicitors Imogen Fahey and Elaine Asimakopoulos.

Dixon-Smith said the firm is proud to help create another landmark office tower in the growing Parramatta CBD.
