Supreme court judge releases serial sex offender

by |
A Perth Supreme Court judge has released Alwyn Wayne Brown, a sex offender with a string of convictions.

Brown, who has spent most of the last 16 years in jail, has been convicted for numerus offences including attempted sexual penetration of a child, indecent dealing and committing an indecent act.

According to the ABC, some of the offences involved enticing young girls into secluded areas and molesting them.  He was declared a dangerous sex offender five years ago.

His crimes were committed between 1998 and 1999 and in 2003, after he had been release from prison.

Brown was released back in 2012 on a strict eight year supervision order before being taken back into custody the following year for breaching some of its conditions.

His case, which has been reviewed annually since he was declared a dangerous sex offender, was reviewed again earlier this year, Justice Peter Martino ruling today that Brown could be released under a five-year strict supervision order.

Subject to more than 50 conditions, Brown will be subjected to GPS monitoring and routine urine tests.  He will not be allowed to have any unsupervised contact with children, the ABC reported.

Why not just give him life and leave him where he belongs. They can't supervise him 24/7. He will offend again. Crimes against women and children must be taken more seriously by courts.

I don't want to sound too worked up but this is really upsetting. He was let out before and showed he could not comply with conditions. Who accepts responsibility when this happens again to a poor innocent soul? Of course no one will.
