Allens has appointed Craig Milner as its newest partner in the tax advisory group.

Milner joins Allens from Corrs Chambers Westgarth, where he led the firm’s tax practice from 2014. He started with Allens on 19 June.

Milner, who joined Corrs in 1998 and became partner at the firm in 2007, has particular expertise and experience in infrastructure, property, and private equity. He regularly advises clients in large and complex deals, including NSW’s privatisation program.

“Craig is known in the market for bringing a commercial, energetic approach to deal execution from a tax perspective, and has a proven track record delivering agreed outcomes across various stakeholder groups in large commercial deals,” said Martin Fry, partner and tax practice leader at Allens.

Allens recently appointed 30 lawyers to senior positions in the firm, promoting 11 to managing associate and 19 to senior associate. Most of the promotions were made to the firm’s energy, resources, and infrastructure practice.
