Partner returns to Thomson Geer after 17 years

Thomson Geer has welcomed back a partner who left the firm 17 years ago to join another firm.

Michael Liebich, who has more than 30 years' experience in property law, has returned to Thomson Geer from MinterEllison. He has comprehensive experience on property issues, including leasing, acquisitions, developments and redevelopments, and joint ventures. He works in the commercial, retail, and industrial property sectors.

The appointment further bolsters the firm’s national property law practice, which recently got a boost with the hiring of a whole team from McCullough Robertson. Partners Brett Hawkins and Justin Madden, consultant Michael Allen, and their team of special counsel, senior associates and lawyers joined the firm in Sydney in July.

Thomson Geer now has 96 partners and around 500 people operating out of offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.
