Lansdale is ninth US managing partner since the global firm’s US practice was established in 1919.
Norton Rose Fulbright has elected Daryl L. Lansdale, Jr. as its US Managing Partner, succeeding Linda L. Addison.
Lansdale who will also succeed Addison as Chair of the US Management Committee, will take on the role on 1 January 2017.
The senior lawyer who also currently serves as the head of the firm’s US Business Practice is the ninth person to hold the position since the firm's US practice began in 1919.
Addison, Norton Rose Fulbright’s first woman US Managing Partner, said that Lansdale is a natural leader who has proven himself as an excellent head of the firm’s US business practice.
“His strong business experience and track record of success, coupled with his commitment to Norton Rose Fulbright and our clients, make him ideally qualified to undertake this important role,” said Addison.

A partner since 2001, Lansdale earned his JD from Southern Methodist University School of Law and his BBA from The University of Texas at Austin, graduating magna cum laude.
Lansdale concentrates his corporate and securities practice on the areas of mergers and acquisitions, public and private financings, and public company reporting and corporate governance matters, representing companies in the energy, life sciences and information technology industries.
He has extensive experience representing private equity firms and public companies in their acquisitions and divestitures, and issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings.
