Corrs Chambers Westgarth
has appointed Jürgen Bebber as a new partner in Melbourne.
The intellectual property law and trade mark specialist joins the firm’s litigation and workplace relations division. He comes from IP specialist firm Griffith Hack where he spent more than 15 years, most recently as a principal of the firm.
Bebber specialises in IP law, with a focus on protecting and enforcing trademarks, including conducting clearance searches, prosecution, oppositions, and dispute resolution. He also specialises in internet-related issues, such as cybersquatting and cyber fraud.
The German national was born in South Africa and can speak four languages – Afrikaans, English, French, and German. He is an intellectual property lawyer in Australia and Germany.
John Denton, Corrs partner and CEO, said that Bebber is recognised as a leader in his field and that his focus on targeting inbound work from both international premium independent firms and large IP specialist firms is well aligned with the firm’s international strategy.
