Vanessa Ng has been appointed as a partner of Morgan Lewis & Bockius and a director of the American giant’s Singapore affiliate, Morgan Lewis Stamford.

The Singapore-based dealmaker moves from Fortis Law Corporation, where she was a director. She was previously a partner at Shook Lin & Bok and a senior associate at Stamford Law Corporation.

Ng is known for her work on corporate finance, capital markets, and M&A matters.

“Vanessa has played a significant role in a large number of notable deals involving companies both within and outside of Singapore,” said Jami McKeon, Morgan Lewis chair.

“Vanessa has a well-rounded background in virtually all aspects of corporate and transactional law that will serve our clients well,” said Joo Khin Ng, managing partner of the Singapore office.

Ng joins Morgan Lewis with corporate associate Ee Vin Wong. Their appointments come after the firm’s added corporate partner Karun Cariappa and banking and restructuring partner Guan Feng Chen late last year.

“In Vanessa we see a combination of strong legal experience along with sharp business acumen. She will ably assist our clients in growing their companies and maximizing their opportunities,” said Steve Browne, global head of the corporate and business transactions practice at Morgan Lewis.
