McCabe Curwood has launched a new practice area with the arrival of a new principal from Mills Oakley.
Ziv Ben-Arie, who was a partner at his previous firm for more than eight years, is heading the new building and construction practice at McCabe Curwood, which is fresh from hiring a whole team from TurksLegal to open in Melbourne and grow in Sydney.
McCabe Curwood said that the new practice, which has a largely litigious focus, will complement the firm’s property and planning, as well as environment practice groups. It will also closely align with the litigation and dispute-resolution group headed by managing principal Andrew Lacey.
“We have wanted to grow our expertise and offering in this area for some time. Ziv’s experience, expertise and energy will be valuable to our clients,” Lacey said.
Ben-Arie has extensive front- and back-end experience in construction matters related to residential, commercial, industrial, and public projects. He moved to McCabe Curwood with lawyer Patrick Haklany.
Ben-Arie said he is focused on providing individual and corporate clients with the highest level of service.
