A major industrial property development project in Queensland is underway with the help of MinterEllison.
The Australian giant acted for LOGOS in the successful subdivision and sale and leasing of a number of lots at the LOGOS Gold Coast project. Financial details of the deals were not disclosed.
The project involved the acquisition of a 22.1ha industrial land. The transaction also involved the subsequent development, leasing, subdivision, and sale of seven small lots at Captain Cook Drive, Arundel, on the Gold Coast.
“With prime industrial land in high demand across South East Queensland, this project has provided some much-needed supply into the local market,” said Adrian Rich, MinterEllison partner. “This is a truly first-class development and we have been fortunate to partner with the LOGOS team on this project. We congratulate LOGOS for having the vision and capability to bring the project to life and look forward to working with them on the remainder of the development.”
Rich, who is based in Brisbane, headed the MinterEllison team. The group included Brisbane partners Andrew Orford and Antra Hood, Sydney partners Nathan Deveson and Rhys Guild, and Canberra partner David Moore.
The team also included special counsel John Letizia and Hannah Riggs; senior associates Euon Williams, Jaime Mitchell, Rebecca Barbour, and Sarah Hampson; associates Ruth Sainsbury, and Renae Carrigg; lawyers Rosemary O'Shea and Lachlan Pramberg; and conveyancing team leader David Boorman.
The MinterEllison team has acted on all aspects of the project to date, the firm said. These aspects included complex property, construction, planning and environment, titling, leasing, Foreign Investment Review Board, tax, and stamp duty matters. MinterEllison will continue to advise LOGOS on the project, it said.
“We are pleased to have partnered with our team of trusted technical consultants, including MinterEllison, as we transform the site into a fit for purpose industrial hub,” said Justin Sherlock, LOGOS’ Queensland state manager.
