Lavan has appointed six lawyers to new positions in the firm, with a litigation expert welcomed to the partnership.

Cinzia Donald was made the newest partner of the regional firm’s litigation and dispute resolution team. Acting for public and private companies and high-net-worth individuals, she manages complex commercial litigation in superior jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, and the Full Federal Court. Her experience encompasses a wide range of areas, including property, corporate and commercial, intellectual property, trade practices, and general litigation.

Dean Healy, managing partner, said that Donald has built a reputation as a highly skilled and commercially focused litigator. Her dedication has made her an invaluable member of the firm, he said.

The firm has also welcomed back an alumnus, appointing Cameron Bourhill as senior associate in the construction and infrastructure team. He comes from CB&I in The Hague, where he managed major engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects in Europe and Middle East. He advises global and listed companies, government bodies, and foreign government-owned entities on joint ventures, partnerships, lender requirements, compliance, insurance, and liabilities in relation to EPC projects.

Promoted to associate are Jasmine Sims, Daniel Moss, Ahshiba Sultana, and Michael Suttner. Sims specialises in banking and finance recovery, personal and corporate insolvency, and recovery. Moss is a specialist in insolvency, bankruptcy, and enforcement. Sultana focuses on disputes before the Magistrates Court, District Court, Supreme Court, and the High Court of Australia. Suttner specialises in litigation and commercial law, insolvency, bankrupty, directors’ duties, property law, and general commercial advice.
