Lander & Rogers has added two seasoned insurance law specialists to the fold.

The national firm has appointed Cameron McLeod as partner in Brisbane, while it has named Natasha Stojanovich as special counsel in Melbourne. McLeod comes from Brisbane commercial litigation boutique Bartley Cohen, where he was partner for nearly five years. Stojanovich comes from DLA Piper, where she was senior associate for more than four years.

Ari Abrahams, who jointly leads Lander & Rogers' insurance law and litigation group, said the two appointments show the firm’s commitment and investment in the Australian insurance market at a time when the industry is “under seemingly unending pressure.”

“We are committed to building a full-coverage national insurance law and litigation practice from our offices on the eastern seaboard,” he said. “We are actively selecting the parts of the market that we want to grow in, and Cameron and Natasha's appointments will help us to realise this strategy.”

McLeod joins a team of 65 insurance law and litigation specialists. He has more than 20 years of litigation experience, including stints at DLA Piper.

Stojanovich joins the firm’s professional indemnity construction team, which includes Charles Thornley and Rohan Bennett.

Lander & Rogers now has more than 450 staff across Australia.

Last month, the firm hired partners Tony Woods and Stephen Jauncey from Henry Davis York (HDY). It also hired special counsel Noa Zur from Wotton + Kearney. However, the firm lost partner Ian Gordon and his team to HFW that same month.

In February, Lander & Rogers appointed Michael Loterzo and Mark Lindfield as partners.
