KWM has been involved with the Granville Harbour Wind Farm from its acquisition through to its development, financing and construction. KWM said it has been advising Palisade since their initial investment in November.

The $280m project is located near Zeehan, Tasmania, and will have 31 turbines.

This is Palisade’s most significant renewable-energy investment in Tasmania yet. With $59m in funding, this is also the Clean Energy Finance Corporation’s largest investment in the state.

Partners Roderick Smythe, Chris Dynon, and Chris Pitson led the KWM team. They were supported by special counsel Trudy Sheehan; senior associates Sarah Halford, Josh Thorneycroft and Marissa Todkill; and solicitors Christina Crossman and Jahan Navidi.

The Granville Harbour project is part of Palisade’s $1bn Palisade Renewable Energy Fund, of which the Ross River Solar Farm is also under. KWM also acted on the Ross River project.
