King & Wood Mallesons helps Kimberly-Clark outsource its distribution network

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised personal care company Kimberly-Clark Australia (KCA) on the outsourcing of its Australian distribution network to Toll Transport.

In a statement, KWM said that the transfer of operations will be staged over the next five years, resulting in Toll handling the distribution for both KCA’s consumer and business-to-business (B2B) brands across its five Australian warehouses under a master services agreement.

The KWM team advising on the deal was led by partner Scott Bouvier and senior associate Katie Lewis, working closely with KCA’s legal and commercial teams led by George Papanikitas and Simon Rowe, respectively.

“The Australian supply chain is currently undergoing massive amounts of innovation and disruption, and we are pleased to help Kimberly-Clark be at the forefront of those changes,” said Bouvier and Lewis.
