Keypoint Law expands Melbourne team

Samantha Taylor has been appointed consulting principal at Keypoint Law, as the NewLaw shop expands key teams and bolsters its presence in Melbourne.

Taylor, who comes from Lord Commercial Lawyers in Melbourne, has more than 15 years’ experience specialising in commercial and employment law. She was a law lecturer at the Melbourne Law School and Monash Business School, and was also a senior associate at Russell Kennedy for nearly seven years.

In property law, she specialises in sales and acquisitions; retail, non-retail, and industrial commercial leasing; and property development. In employment law, she focuses on employment contracts, unfair dismissal, termination and redundancy, and sexual harassment. Taylor also has extensive experience in purchases and sales of business and general commercial contracts.

Warren Kalinko, Keypoint Law’s chief executive, said that Taylor’s appointment is a key part of the firm’s strategy to expand in Melbourne. Taylor bolsters the firm’s property, employment, and commercial teams, Kalinko added.

Keypoint Law now has 23 consulting principals. The full-service law firm, which offers both lawyers and clients more flexible working arrangements, was established in Australia three years ago.
