K & L Gates poaches investment expert from HDY

K & L Gates has hired Liz Gray as a partner for its Sydney based investment management practice.

Gray is leaving Henry Davis York behind and is taking with her a team that includes senior associates Matthew Watts and Lisa Lautier, as well as lawyer Edward Vassie.

“Having worked with many of the major fund managers in Australia, Gray will add to our investment management capabilities both in Australia and the Asia Pacific region more broadly,” K & L Gates managing partner Nick Nichola said.

Gray assists clients in the financial services industry with investment fund transactions, financial services regulatory projects, and new product development.

In January K & L Gates also expanded its Asia practice by hiring Greg Heaton as a partner for its Hong Kong office.
