HopgoodGanim Lawyers acts in $421m merger

HopgoodGanim Lawyers is advising a long-standing client as it merges with another ASX-listed miner.

The commercial law-focused firm is advising Silver Lake Resources, which has agreed to merge with Doray Minerals. The all-scrip scheme of arrangement will see Silver Lake shareholders own 62.7% of the merged company, with Doray Minerals shareholders owning the rest.

The deal, expected to be implemented by March 2019, creates a merged group valued at about $421m.

HopgoodGanim partners Robyn Ferguson and Paul Harley are advising Silver Lake on this matter.

The deal adds to the firm’s recent work in the resources sector, which includes advising SolGold in a £46m private placement from Anglo-Australian resources giant BHP.
