The firm’s latest hire previously headed the employment law practice of a smaller firm

Hicksons lands employment partner
Hicksons has appointed Warwick Ryan as a partner in its workplace relations and safety practice.

Ryan comes from Swaab Lawyers, where he headed the employment law practice. He was partner at the smaller firm for more than seven years.

The employment and workplace relations law specialist, who has more than 20 years’ experience as an employment lawyer, commenced with Hicksons on 6 September. He is based in both of the firm’s Sydney and Newcastle offices.

Hicksons, which has offices in Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra, Melbourne, and Brisbane, lists 22 partners on its website, excluding Ryan.

In June, the firm appointed two new partners.
