HFW launches association in Indonesia
Global law firm HFW has expanded its presence in Asia Pacific with the launch of a new association in Indonesia. The firm has announced the association will be working with local law practice Rahayu & Partners in Jakarta.

The move takes the total number of HFW lawyers working across the region to 104, according to figures from the law firm. The deal expands the Indonesian firm’s capabilities into HFW’s core sectors including aerospace, commodities and shipping.

“This cements our existing client relationships in Indonesia which we have in all our sectors and enables us to better serve our clients in offering local expertise whether in the context of Indonesian legal advice or in understanding the business environment and culture,” said HFW global senior partner Richard Crump in a statement. “This adds to our existing strong offering in South East Asia where we have been operating for more than 25 years.”

The Indonesian firm’s founder, Sri Rahayu, joins HFW as a partner and will work closely with HFW Partners Haydn Dare and Brian Gordon. HFW said Rahayuhas a strong reputation in the region in banking finance and corporate transactions.

"With business opportunities increasing in Indonesia across a range of industries, the association with HFW offers our clients strength and depth across a number of core sectors vital to grow our business in this vibrant economy,” said Rahayu.
