Henry Davis York has appointed a new corporate and financial services partner.

Jon Ireland, formerly a senior associate with the firm who is described as a 'trusted adviser' to wealth management clients, has been promoted to the firm's partnership.

Ireland focuses on funds management, specialist M&A and investment distribution regulatory work, and will be part of the broader corporate and financial services team.

HDY managing partner Sharon Cook said Ireland had been "pivotal" in its wealth management practice growth. The promotion takes effect in early March.
