The lateral hires follow the firm’s promotion of two partners and 10 senior lawyers

Hall & Wilcox takes in four senior lawyers
Hall & Wilcox has gained four senior lawyers to bolster its tax, insurance, and private client teams.

The firm has appointed Jim Koutsokostas as special counsel and Natasha Farr, Kate Gould, and Belinda Walsh as senior associates. Hall & Wilcox appointed two new partners, a new special counsel, and nine new senior associates in its most recent promotion round.

Koutsokostas, a specialist in corporate and trust tax law, joins the firm in Sydney from legacy Henry Davis York. He has a particular focus on the banking and finance, property, and construction sectors.

Farr joins the firm’s insurance team in Brisbane from Carter Newell Lawyers, where she worked in the firm’s financial lines insurance team. She is experienced in advising insurers on professional indemnity, D&O, and management liability insurance matters.

Gould, who comes to the firm from National Australia Trustees, joins the firm’s private-clients team in Sydney. She specialises in estate planning, trusts, powers of attorney, appointments of guardian, probate, letters of administration, and superannuation.

Walsh, who is also an accredited personal injury specialist, will be working in the firm’s New South Wales workers’ compensation team. She joins the firm’s insurance team in from Sparke Helmore.

Hall & Wilcox has 70 partners, 36 special counsel, and 65 senior associates.
