Hall & Wilcox advises fintech company on equity raising

Hall & Wilcox has advised a fintech company on its recent capital raising.

The national firm advised DomaCom, which is increasing the investment in its DomaCom Platform. The raising will also be invested to grow sales in target markets, DomaCom said.

The DomaCom Platform provides self-managed superannuation fund market and other long-term investors the opportunity to make fractional investments in a range of asset classes, including property-related investments, mortgage-backed securities, and debt securities.

The equity raising involved a $3m fully underwritten pro-rata non-renounceable entitlement offer. The latest round of equity raising completes DomaCom’s recent $6m recapitalisation program, said lead partner John Hutchinson.

“DomaCom is well-placed to continue development of its unique DomaCom Platform and its other innovative products,” he said.

Hutchinson was supported by lawyer James Fisher.

Hall & Wilcox recently announced that its Frank Lab program has been granted early-stage innovation company (ESIC) eligibility after a private ruling by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), helping start-ups that participate in the program achieve eligibility for significant tax incentives.
