Hogan Lovells has appointed a senior executive to a newly created global knowledge management role.
Katy Ullrich-North will work on the firm’s international knowledge strategy, which includes business development across its multiple practice groups and sector teams for the firm’s more than 45 offices.
Ullrich-North begins with US BigLaw on 6 February as global head of knowledge management. She has been working on knowledge systems since 2005 at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, eventually moving to Linklaters and subsequently leading knowledge management teams at Bird & Bird, BAE Systems and Norton Rose Fulbright. She most recently worked at Janders Dean, where she served as legal operations management consultant.
Hogan Lovells said the appointment illustrates the importance of knowledge and research for the firm and its clients. Ullrich-North will oversee a team that supports the firm’s more than 3,500 lawyers and more than 2,500 members of business services around the world. It will also be engaged directly with clients on research and intelligence matters.
