The national insurance-specialist firm has promoted Julia Cudsi to senior associate in Adelaide. Cudsi, who has been with the firm for nearly six years, has an extensive practice that includes defendant professional indemnity claims, public liability and personal injury claims, property damage claims, recovery actions, corporate fraud, and compulsory third party injury claims in South Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland.

She has advocated in the District Court of New South Wales and has acted as counsel in the Magistrates’ Court, District Court, and Supreme Court of South Australia.

The insurance expert is also the current South Australian vice president of the Young Insurance Professionals organisation and a board member of a non-profit organisation in South Australia.

“Julia’s promotion is a recognition of her skill, dedication and hard work. She has developed strong relationships with a number of our clients and is an integral part of our team in Adelaide,” said Richard Wood, managing principal.

Prior to joining Gilchrist Connell, Cudsi was an associate at MinterEllison.

In February, Gilchrist Connell appointed two senior associates in Adelaide. In June, two senior associates moved from Clyde & Co to the firm in Sydney.

The firm promoted nine lawyers in July in Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. In August, Gilchrist Connell elevated four lawyers in both Melbourne and Sydney.
