Gilchrist Connell appoints principal

Gilchrist Connell has appointed Marini Mann to principal.

Elevated from special counsel, Mann commences in her new role on 1 January. The promotion recognises her exceptional professionalism and leadership, the national firm said. Mann, who is based in the firm’s Melbourne office, has particular expertise in professional risk and financial lines.

“Marini is enormously deserving of her promotion – having achieved that rare balance of excellent technical skills, empathy, efficiency and seeking better paths to early and effective outcomes,” said Richard Wood, Gilchrist Connell managing principal. “She is a natural leader and very generous with her time and expertise in volunteering with the Victorian Claims Discussion Group – as well as tirelessly mentoring and nurturing junior legal staff into rising stars.”
