Four Aussie lawyers named in global firm’s latest senior promotions round

Four lawyers from Australia have been appointed to senior roles as part of Herbert Smith Freehills’ latest global annual promotions round.
The newly promoted lawyers are:
  • Natalie Gaspar, special counsel, employment, Melbourne
  • Alana Delcanho, executive counsel, projects, Perth
  • Miriam D'Souza, executive counsel, projects, Perth
  • Dinh Ptok, executive counsel, real estate, Melbourne
The promotions follow HSF’s announcement of a 21-strong partnership promotion round last month that included six lawyers from Australia.

Sue Gilchrist, Herbert Smith Freehills’ regional managing partner for Asia and Australia, said that the group are emerging leaders of the firm. The promotion recognises their expertise and client-focussed skills, she said.

The other lawyers promoted to of counsel roles are:
  • Andres Alfonso, energy and infrastructure, Madrid
  • Pedro Rufino Carvalho, finance, London
  • Mathias Dantin, energy and infrastructure, Paris
  • Vincent Danton, finance, Paris
  • Valerie Farez, tax, Paris
  • Ben Goodman, FSR/financial litigation, London
  • Dana Kim, disputes, Seoul
  • Martin Wallace, international arbitration, Hong Kong – senior consultant

  • Evgeny Yuriev, corporate, Moscow
