Kemp Strang has appointed Kevin Pringle as partner and Ivan Oshry consultant in its Sydney office, bolstering the firm’s dispute resolution and corporate teams.
Pringle, who will join Kemp Strang’s dispute resolution team, was most recently a partner at Gadens, which in December completed its merger with Dentons. Oshry, who spent nearly nine years at his own law firm, joins Kemp Strang’s corporate team.
Michael Joseph, Kemp Strang chair of partners, said the appointments strengthen two key divisions at the firm’s Sydney office and demonstrate the firm’s focus on providing senior counsel for clients.
Oshry is an expert in the investment banking and financial sector, having practised corporate law for nearly 30 years, Joseph said. A specialist in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and capital raisings, Oshry has led many corporate transactions and advised many public and large private companies on both local and international deals.
Pringle has extensive experience in insolvency, banking, and commercial litigation, Joseph said. With a diverse legal background in disputes, mediations, litigation, conciliations, and alternative dispute resolution, he is expected to enhance the firm’s disputes resolution team particularly in the banking and financial sectors.
The appointments follow Kemp Strang’s January appointment of Rodd Peters, Tony O'Reilly and Douglas Linnette as consultants.
