Fast-growing WA firm acquires regional competitor

Regional firms consolidate as the WA legal market picks up.

Medium sized firm HHG Legal Group has announced its acquisition of regional firm Nicholson Clement.

HHG Legal Group is growing rapidly, with offices in Perth, Albany, Mount Barker and with the acquisition of Nicholson Clement, now Mandurah.

“There are plenty of small firms in Mandurah doing a good job at a certain level, but no other firm can offer Mandurah our resources and specialisation,” said managing director Simon Creek of the firm’s strategic expansion.

“With a population of 60,000 and our proven ability to manage remote offices, we see Mandurah as a great opportunity.”

“The market was screaming out for a premium, high service level legal option, especially in commercial law, property, family law and litigation, without travelling to Perth,” Creek added.

The firm sees significant opportunity in the Perth market, practicing family, property, tax, crime, and employment law, among other practice areas.

“Firms that can provide a combination of innovative thinking, technology driven efficiency, five star service levels and true value for money will do very well over the next few years,” said Creek.

“We see medium sized firms as a strong alternative to large and small firms given the mix of sufficient resourcing, lower overheads and bespoke service levels.”
