DLA Piper and Baker McKenzie have used their legal expertise to make sure that the purchase of an Australian infrastructure adviser by a UK company succeeds.

DLA Piper advised UK-listed RPS Group on its acquisition of Corview Group, which was advised by Baker McKenzie. The company was acquired for $32m. With offices in Brisbane and Sydney, Corview provides strategic advice on major infrastructure projects.

Corporate partner Mark Burger headed the DLA Piper team. He was supported by senior associate Dylan Burke.

With the acquisition, RPS will be able to tackle one of Australia’s biggest challenges, said Richard Lustig, lead partner on the deal and the head of Baker McKenzie’s M&A practice in Australia.

“This deal will result in a new RPS advisory team aimed at tackling one of Australia’s biggest challenges – infrastructure complexity,” he said.

Lustig was supported by Baker McKenzie lawyer Andrew Bubniw.
