Dentons has expanded its real estate expertise in Melbourne with the appointment of a new partner.
Guy Albeck has joined the global firm’s partnership, bringing more than 15 years’ experience advising on all stages of property development. He moved from Macpherson Kelley, where he was a principal. He was also previously a special counsel at Norton Rose Fulbright.
Albeck has a particular focus on sales, acquisitions and disposals, and leasing. He has extensive knowledge and commercial acumen, having acted for some of the largest property developers and listed property funds in Australia, Dentons said.
“Dentons is well-known for its strong real estate practice. Adding Guy to our Melbourne team will further enhance our offering for clients,” said Doug Stepanicev, Dentons’ Australia region chair and chief executive. “Guy’s appointment is also another important step in our strategy to grow the Australia region, and follows hires in the last year in Melbourne across corporate, life sciences, and intellectual property and technology.”
Albeck said that moving to Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, brings more opportunities.
“Dentons’ global reach and commitment to offering innovative solutions to clients is very exciting. I’m also looking forward to working with a team of such talented lawyers,” he said.
Dentons recently added partner Ruth Nocka in Sydney, boosting the firm’s employment practice. It also recently absorbed an Adelaide firm, adding a team headed by 13 partners.
