The firm brings in a building and construction senior associate

Bartier Perry continues growth

Bartier Perry has continued its growth with the appointment of Sharon Levy.

The new senior associate, who was a former partner at the Fortis Law Group, specialises in building and construction. The appointment is part of the continued expansion of the firm’s nationally focused commercial disputes practice, Bartier Perry said.

Gavin Stuart, who leads the practice, said that Levy’s appointment marks the third hire for the team since the start of the year.

“Sharon brings to the firm over a decade of commercial litigation experience, with particular expertise in building and construction and strata disputes,” Stuart said. “She has acted for a diverse range of clients including builders, developers, sub-contractors, owners, corporations, high-net worth individuals and local councils, with her reputation being reflected in the number of referrals and new clients she has brought to the firm.”

In addition to her work in the law, Levy is also active in civic engagement. She is the current chair of The Haven, a shelter she founded last year for women suffering domestic violence or homelessness in the Penrith area.

Given her pursuits outside of private practice, Bartier Perry’s culture was one factor that attracted Levy to the firm, she said.

“It’s refreshing though to find a law firm that’s not only interested in what drives you outside of the office but actively encourages and supports you to pursue that interest,” Levy said.
