Australia marriage equality campaigner joins law firm

The leader of the campaign for marriage equality in Australia has joined Clifford Chance.

Former executive director of the Equality Campaign, Tiernan Brady, has been appointed as the international law firm’s head of inclusion, focused on tackling the full spectrum of inclusion and diversity issues.

As well as the successful campaign for marriage equality in Australia, Brady led a similar campaign in Ireland which also resulted in a public vote in favour.

“My experience of campaigning in both Ireland and Australia showed how influential global firms, and equally importantly the staff in those firms, can be when they take a leadership position on diversity and inclusion. Clifford Chance understands this and is determined to forge that leadership role on diversity and inclusion,” Brady said.
