Allens advised Pacific Equity Partners (PEP) on its acquisition of Horizon Global’s Asia-Pacific business for about $340m.

The firm brought together experts from its corporate, banking, IP, tax and employment teams to work on the deal. The firm’s team was headed by partner Tom Story, who said that PEP has been a longstanding client of the firm. The acquisition is a significant addition to PEP’s portfolio of investments in the region, Story said.

From the Allens corporate team, managing associates Noah Obradovic and Jessica Mottau; senior associates Keegan Lopez, Alex Ortner, and Isabelle Guyot; associates Michael Anthony and Ollie L'Estrange; and lawyer Andrew Mon worked on the deal.

Banking and finance matters were handled by partner Mark Kidston, managing associate David Couper, associate Tim Sexton, and law graduate Chathurika Ravindra.

Managing associate Joel Barrett, senior associate Tommy Chen, and lawyer Amelia van der Rijt were fielded from the firm’s IP team. Tax advice was given by partner Joseph Power and senior associate Jay Prasad. Employment managing associate Sikeli Ratu also advised on the deal.

Horizon Global was advised by Jones Day and Macpherson Kelley.
