Lander & Rogers has announced that it advised insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co on its acquisition of New South Wales- and Queensland-based AgriRisk Services, a provider of crop and other agricultural insurance products and services to rural enterprises and large corporate agribusiness operations in Australia.
The acquisition represents a significant transaction for Gallagher and builds out its existing farm, crop, and agribusiness offering across Australia. AgriRisk has over 25 years of experience offering risk management advice and specialist rural and farm insurance products to farm, crop, horticulture, and forestry clients.
The firm provided legal advice on all aspects of the transaction, including conducting due diligence, providing negotiation, strategy, regulatory, employment, insurance, IP/IT, litigation, and property advice. It also drafted and negotiated all transaction documents and coordinated the deal’s completion.
“This was a true collaborative effort led by our corporate practice, working together with our regulatory, employment, intellectual property and technology, real estate, and litigation experts,” said Alex Ding, mergers and acquisitions partner at Lander & Rogers. “We are proud to continue to support Arthur J. Gallagher in its growth in Australia.”
