Rebecca Prior is a solicitor in the competition, regulation and trade (CRT) team in the Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) Sydney office. Her supervising partners describe her as ‘consistently performing beyond expectations’. Her achievements and leadership skills include advising and assisting clients on a wide range of complex competition law issues and managing large and complex matters with little partner supervision. Her supervising partners describe her project management skills as outstanding, with one stating: “Bec is incredibly organised and forward-thinking, she manages work streams effectively.” Prior is also passionate about supporting the development of her junior colleagues. To this end, she has been a mentor to graduates in her team, providing guidance in relation to work and interpersonal development. She also contributes to the wider firm community. Prior has a leading role in driving the collegiate and supportive culture of the CRT practice group, and has championed ways to improve communication, workflow and development opportunities within the group. She is also member of the LGBTI ‘Iris’ Network, the Multicultural Network and has a leading role in the Gender Equity Matters Network.
