Nicole Mumford has gone ‘above and beyond’ to add value to The Royal Automobile Club of WA (RAC). In the past 12 months, Mumford has much to be proud of. This includes driving value across RAC's diverse subsidiaries by making risk-based decisions and investing in legal education with staff (including data, privacy, intellectual property and general commercial contract training). She has helped the organisation maximise its commercial opportunities and minimise its financial risk through fit-for-purpose contract drafting, alternative dispute resolution, and brand protection advice. She has provided legal and governance support across all levels of the organisation, demonstrating empathy, compassion and good humour to stakeholders of all backgrounds and seniorities; and spearheaded the RAC legal and governance innovation journey by developing its integrated online request portal, with automated workflows and transparent matter management. Additionally, Mumford provides legal support to a number of RAC's community-driven initiatives such as the RAC Imagine Program, an education program for WA youth focusing on mobility, technology in transport and sustainability. She’s also spoken as a panellist at Legal Hackers’ ‘Computational Law and Blockchain Festival’ and the Western Australian Law Society’s ‘Careers Uncut’ and ‘Intellectual Property 101’ events.
