She also assisted a Singaporean-based equity fund in acquiring a hotel in Brisbane for $18million and worked on every aspect of the transaction to successfully close the deal. Outside the office, Lau is an advocate for wellbeing and justice. Last year, she worked as a pro-bono lawyer for Queensland Homeless Persons’ Legal Clinic, and also represented Holding Redlich in LawPong2018, a fundraising event where the Queensland government’s panel law firms fundraise and pay-to-play in a table-tennis competition. All donations are used in combating human trafficking and exploitation of young people in Southeast Asia.
