Ben Malone is experienced across a range of property transactions including commercial, industrial and retail leasing, acquisitions and disposals, compulsory acquisitions, Crown land and community land transactions. He has worked with the core management team at Massons for the duration of his career; He was promoted to senior associate in 2016 at only 26. Malone has been instrumental in spearheading the company’s marketing and social media strategy and its training programs. On any given day, he supervises up to six of the firm’s junior lawyers, graduates, clerks and paralegals. He acts as lead lawyer for an impressive and diverse client portfolio which includes large ASX/global companies such as Brookfield, Brickworks and Deutsche Bank. He is active in the property law community and is seen as a leader in that sphere. He is the current chair of the NSW Young Lawyers Property Law Committee and an active member of the Property Law Committee of the Law Society of NSW. He is also passionate about pro bono projects and volunteers each fortnight at the Kingsford Community Legal Centre. Malone was a finalist in the 2017 and 2018 Lawyers Weekly ‘30 under 30 Awards’ for Real Estate and was recognised in Doyle’s Guide 2019 in the Property & Real Estate Law Rising Stars category.
